UK Cards response to HMT Consultation Digital Currencies: Call for Information

The consultation document requests responses to a number of questions relating to virtual currencies and the benefits of potential types of regulation, whether they should intervene and the role new technology, specifically the ‘distributed ledger’, could play; and risks, specifically relating to user detriment, criminal activity and monetary and financial stability.
