The UK Cards Association appoints new Managing Director

The UK Cards Association is pleased to announce today (9 October) the appointment of Graham Peacop as its new Managing Director.

Mr Peacop joins The UK Cards Association from a position as Head of Card Acceptance in the UK and Ireland division of MasterCard. Over the past 15 years he has become a leading figure in the card payments industry in key representative roles for the Royal Bank of Scotland Group (RBSG), including five years as Chairman of The MasterCard UK Members Forum.

His industry level experience will help inform The UK Cards Association’s position as the leading trade association for the card payments industry in the UK, as it contributes to the development of legislative and regulatory frameworks, industry best practice and the integrity of card payments.

Graham Peacop, Managing Director of The UK Cards Association said:

Mr Peacop has over 30 years’ of experience within the banking industry including a long career at RBSG and NatWest, during which he specialised in corporate banking and, more recently, card payments. He takes over the position of The UK Cards Association Managing Director from Paul Marsh, who retired earlier this year.
