The UK Cards Association is the trade body that gives credit, debit and charge card issuers, and merchant acquiring banks a forum where they can work together on non-competitive issues. The role of the Association is both to unify and represent the voice of the UK card payments industry. It is also responsible for many areas of card fraud prevention and supports a number of significant fraud intelligence and investigation initiatives. The UK Cards Association was formed in April 2009 as the successor body to the APACS Card Payments Group.

We are happy to provide background information, industry comment, or put forward a spokesperson on the cards related issues within our remit so please contact us. The Communications team will also verify payment facts and figures or assist you in any other way we can.
