Chip and PIN
APACS Card Payments Group and its members were instrumental in the development of Chip and PIN and ensuring the UK was the first country in the world to complete the rollout of this global standard. The UK Cards Association takes over from the APACS Card Payments Group as the body that monitors the effectiveness of chip and PIN.
The original Chip and PIN website is no longer actively maintained, however it can still be viewed for historic and reference purposes (and may be of particular interest to other countries wishing to follow our lead).
